#selfcarefriday Today was time for some self care #selfcarefriday  Today was time for some self care. 
You know that stuff you hear about all the time?  That stuff you know you should be doing but sometimes let it slide?  Well here's me telling you, DO THE THING. Whatever your self care us, do it! Book it in, stick to it and do it.  It might be laying on the grass and gazing at the clouds, it might be slowing down to pick the flowers, it might be waking up slightly earlier than the kids to have your cup of tea in peace.  Whatever it is, do it, and do it regularly.  Your body and mind will thank you 100 fold for doing so  #naturopath #romanaturopath #selfcare #accessbars #relax
Fish Laksa Could there be a quicker meal! So ta Fish Laksa  Could there be a quicker meal!  So tasty and so easy to make. Great for a fast mid week dinner.  Mine is not always a traditional laksa, I use what I have so remember you don't have to stick exactly to recipes, play around!  This one i used -
Fish
Laksa paste
Coconut cream
Stock (chicken cause that's what I had)
Onion
Zucchini
Carrot
Capsicum
Konjac noodles
Sprouts
Snow peas

Smoothies! I love them! Why? Because you can get Smoothies!  I love them!  Why? Because you can get soooo many nutrients into a glass.  This one has:
Pineapple - high in Bromelian which is a strong anti-inflammatory  Cherries - wonderful kidney cleanser and high in antioxidants  Blueberries - high in anthocyanins (an antioxidant) and great for eye sight  Flaxseed - phytoestrogen for helping to regulate female reproductive hormones and had Omega 3 and 6, great for skin, inflammation and more  Coconut water - high in Potassium, great for fluid balance and can help with blood pressure  Mineral powder - for a great mix of all important minerals our body needs  Collagen - a protein source for connective tissue repair and skeletal muscle building and regeneration  Cinnamon verum - lovely for blood sugar regulation  A gut repair supplement - for repairing deep layers of the digestive tract  See, each ingredient has a special little bit of magic that it brings to the whole. Much like choosing ingredients for any meal, think about what it's going to add for your health.  Is it a protein source?
Does it have high fibre?
Is it packed with B vitamins?  This is how you make a good meal into a GREAT meal that truly nourishes your body

Shepherds Pie with a twist. I'm always talking to Shepherds Pie with a twist.  I'm always talking to people about getting more veggies into their day. For Mums trying to feed the family this can feel like a mammoth effort without having to prepare 2 meals.
Sometimes you just gotta hide them! This pie had over half veggies compared to meat in the bottom layer and you wouldn't have known.  ✅ increased veggies
