Naturopathy

Naturopathy consultations can include nutrition, herbal medicine, flower essences, homoeopathy, massage and aromatherapy. I have included more information about these modalities of naturopathy below.

Nutrition

We have all heard the saying ‘you are what you eat’, and it’s exactly true. If you have poor quality fuel, you will get a poor outcome. Our body doesn’t just need calories to function properly, it needs many vitamins, minerals, fibre, proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Using dietary changes, we make sure you are getting the optimum amount of nutrients for your body to function properly. This is individual for each person to suit their needs.

Herbal Medicine

Herbs have been used as a healing method for centuries, and every traditional culture has its own set of plants and uses that have been passed down through the generations. Today, in Herbal Medicine we use herbs from all over the world and for every condition, you can think of. From cuts and scratches to diabetes, varicose veins and anything in between.

Flower Essences

Flower Essences are a type of vibrational medicine and have many and varied uses. I personally use Australian Bush Flower Essences, which are made from only Australian plants, because after all, we do live in Australia, should it be fitting that the use the plants from our native area.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is using essential oils to treat conditions. They can be used in a number of ways such as inhaling, in a compress, massaging with, in a bath or using directly on the skin. Only using mere drops of essential oils can have a dramatic effect in relieving symptoms very quickly.

Homoeopathy

This is another type of vibrational medicine based on the works of Samuel Hahnemann. The principle of ‘like cures like’ is the basis of this type of medicine. Particularly used very widely for mental and emotional states with great success.

Massage

Although not all Naturopaths practice the art of massage, I believe it is an essential skill to have for treating clients holistically. After all, our physical body often gets sore, tight and misaligned, and this can impact heavily on our mental, emotional and physical states. Human contact and compassion is also one of the essentials we need for a healthy life, along with water, shelter, food and air.

I practice Remedial Massage, however have a wide range of other modalities that I incorporate into my unique style. My goal is to find
